  Summers, William Bowman

  MCLEANSVILLE Mr. William Bowman Summers, 95, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016, at the Hospice Home of Alamance County.
  A service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at New Bessemer Baptist Church, where he was a member. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
  Mr. Summers was a native of Guilford County. He was the owner of his own residential construction company. He was a US Army veteran of World War II.
  He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lydia Summers of the home; son, Billy and his wife, Elaine Summers of Whitsett; grandchildren, Amy and Bradley Summers.
  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Chapel.
  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice Home of Alamance County, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or to McIver Fund at First Lutheran Church, 3600 W. Friendly Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27410.
