 Mr. Franklin Delano Whitesell
 BURLINGTON - Mr. Franklin D. Whitesell, 65, of 1230 Whitesell Farm Lane, died at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a sudden
 illness.
 A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mrs. Lucy Batten Whitesell, who survives, and the son of Mr. Robert F. Whitesell and Mrs. Dora McPherson Whitesell, both deceased.
 He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the Alamance County Extra Territorial Planning Board, the Beekeepeers Association and St. Mark's Reformed Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
 Survivors other than his wife of the home include three daughters, Mrs. Hollis (Cindy) Jones of Easton, Pa., Ms. Anne E. Whitesell and Mrs. Arvin (Karen) Lambe, both of Graham; one son, Mr. Thomas F. Whitesell of Burlington; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Andrew (Margie) Revill of Durham and Ms. Anne K. McIntyre of the home; one stepson, Mr. Carl L. "Sammy" McIntyre Jr. of Burlington; four sisters, Mrs. Bob (Eloise) McPherson of Snow Camp, Mrs. Robert (Mary) King, Mrs. Sam (Nancy) Finley and Mrs. Jerry (Joan) Barbee, all of Burlington; one brother, Mr. Larry W. Whitesell of Burlington; three grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
 He was preceded in death by three brothers, Mr. Jacob Whitesell, Mr. Robert Whitesell and Mr. Carroll Whitesell.
 The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at St. Mark's Reformed Church by the Rev. Robert M. Disher Jr., pastor, and the Rev. Ben Bishop, associate pastor. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in the church
 cemetery.
 The family will be at the Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 7 to 9 this evening, and at other times at the home.
 Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Reformed Church, 1230 St. Mark's Church Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215, or to a charity of choice.
