 Mr. John Wade Howard
 BURLINGTON - Mr. John Wade Howard, of 1689 St. Marks Church Road, died at 7:34 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
 A native of Danville, Va., he was the husband of Mrs. Vera W. Howard, who survives, and the son of the late Robert Bruce Howard and Lennie Slaughter Howard. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
 Survivors other than his wife of the home include a son, Mr. Robert Lyn Howard and his wife Donna of Fredericksburg, Va.; a granddaughter, Miss Lacey Howard; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Hunter of Burlington; three brothers, Mr. Bill Howard of Haw River, Mr. Harry Howard of Graham and Mr. Archie Howard of St. Simons Island, Ga.; and a niece, Mrs. Jean Tate of Haw River.
 A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Marks Reformed Church cemetery by the Rev. Robert M. Disher Jr.
 The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 5 to 7 this evening. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
