  Donald Ira Shepherd
Donald Ira Shepherd, 78, son of Benjamin Ira Shepherd and Alice Lee Dixon passed away from natural causes on July 21, 2018 in Bangkok Thailand.
Don is survived by his sons David Shepherd and Timothy Shepherd, Sister Lottie Greeson, and grandchildren Avery Shepherd, Alyx Shepherd, Alina Shepherd, and Riley Shepherd.
Don was a very talented, well known personality in his hometown of Burlington, NC. He was a Floral Designer, Dress Designer, Interior Designer, Pageant Director, Teacher, Volunteer, Leader, and business owner for many years and a proud member of the Burlington Area Jaycees. Don loved his community and volunteered for many causes. He gave his time and money unselfishly to help others. If you knew him you were blessed with his humor, dedication, creative spirit and honesty. He loved to travel and experience different cultures and accepted everyone without judgment. If you met him you learned something. No matter how much he accomplished it was never enough in his eyes but to us he gave it all and taught us to appreciate all the beautiful thing the world could give.
A memorial service will be held at Brick Church on October 6 at 2:00 pm.
Condolences may be offered at www.richandthompson.com.
