 Mr. David Elmo Whitesell
 HAW RIVER - Mr. David Elmo Whitesell, 79, of 3147 NC 54, died Wednesday March 10, 2004, at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill.
 A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late William and Lizzie Gerringer Whitesell. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, where he worked in the Burlington post office.
 Mr. Whitesell is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Betty Faucette of Burlington and Mrs. Ruth Mansfield of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mrs. Frances Fender; and a brother, John Whitesell.
 Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Pine Hill Cemetery by the Rev. John Shields, and Mr. Raymond Baker. Friends and family will gather at Lowe Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Friday and proceed to the cemetery for services.
