Note: N295 12/29/2005 Mozelle Garrison Beckom BURLINGTON - Mozelle Garrison Beckom , 89, of 2875 Mine Creek Road, died on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born in Alamance County, daughter of the late Lacy Lee and Bertha Saunders Garrison and was married to the late James Washington Beckom . Mrs. Beckom was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church where she was active in the Women's Circle, the Young at Heart Seniors Group, the Joy Sunday School Class. She also made banners for every liturgical season in the church. Mozelle retired from Copland Fabrics and was a former Cub Scout Den Mother. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmie Lee and Susan Beckom of Raleigh and Bobby Neal and Constance Beckom of Midlothian, Va.; grandchildren, James Edgar Beckom , Jonathan Sadler Beckom , Thomas Neal Beckom , Samuel Waddell Beckom and Margaret Singleton Beckom ; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Beckom , Sydney Beckom , Anna Beckom and Ashton Beckom ; sisters, Nellie Kraemer and Ruth Oakley, both of Burlington and Jean Weathers of Lakeland, Fla.; and brothers, Raymond Garrison and Vernon Garrison, both of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers, Aubrey and Odell Garrison. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Renee Burnette officiating. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 1421 Bethel Methodist Church Road, Burlington, N.C. 27217.
