 Mr. Buddy Dexter Clapp
 BURLINGTON - Mr. Buddy Dexter Clapp, 68, of 7201 Shoe Road, died at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro after eight years of failing health.
 A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of Mrs. Lorraine Annie Stephenson Clapp, who survives, and the son of Mr. Floyd E. Clapp and Mrs. Myrtle Smith Clapp, both deceased. He was retired from P. Lorillard Co. and was a member of Brick Reformed United Church of Christ.
 Survivors other than his wife of the home include five daughters, Mrs. Leatrice C. Brothers of Cedar Falls, Mrs. Debbie C. Marsh and Mrs. Beth C. Hill, both of Randleman, Mrs. Gail C. Wyrick of Greensboro and Mrs. Emily C. Overman of Franklinville; seven sons, Mr. Dexter Clapp of Elon College, Mr. Timothy Clapp of Julian, Mr. Richard "Ricky" Clapp of Whitsett, Mr. Allan Clapp of Gibsonville, Mr. Phillip Clapp of Snow Camp, Mr. Joshua "Josh" Clapp of Whitsett and Mr. Raymond Clapp of Burlington; six sisters, Mrs. Clara Chriscoe and Mrs. Sue Clubb, both of Burlington, Mrs. Lucy Wagoner and Mrs. Mabel Wagoner, both of Elon College, Mrs. Annie Allen of Mebane and Mrs. Agnes Fogleman of Alamance; two brothers, Mr. Floyd Clapp Jr. of Whitsett and Mr. Kestal Clapp of Elon College; 27 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
 He was preceded in death by three brothers, Mr. Raymond Clapp, Mr. Ferry A. Clapp and Mr. Luke Clapp.
 The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Brick Reformed United Church of Christ by the Rev. Robert Boyd, pastor. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
 The family will be at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 this evening and at other times at the home.
