  Mr. Gordon W. Clapp
 WHITSETT - Mr. Gordon W. Clapp , 88, of 6569 Foster Road, died at 2 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2005, at Clapp's Nursing Center after five years of declining health and five days critical.
 A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of the late Ruth W. Clapp , and the son of the late William Tubal Clapp and Katie Jobe Clapp . He was a retired farmer and a former employee of the Farmer's Tobacco Warehouse in Burlington. He was a member of Brick Reformed United Church of Christ, and served the church in various capacities.
 Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Linda Clapp Greeson and husband, Claude, of Burlington; a son, Mr. Samuel G. Clapp and wife, Susan, of Whitsett; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
 The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2005, at Brick Reformed United Church of Christ by the Rev. Jon Bailey and Dr. Emmett Floyd. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
 The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 this evening.
 The family would like to thank the entire staff of Clapp's Nursing Center for their loving care and concern for their father over the last five years.
 Memorials may be made to Brick Church Memorial Endowment Fund or Building Fund, P.O. Box 27, Whitsett, N.C. 27377.
