  MRS. THOMAS MAHON
Last evening about 8 o'clock Mrs. Julia Tuckwood Mahon, wife of Thomas Mahon, departed this life at her home on Lincoln Street in this city. Her death brings sadness to her immediate relatives and friends. There was a sweetness and mildness in her disposition and manners, which endeared her to all who honored by her friendship and the sorrow at her death will reach beyond the circle of her own family. She reached the age of 31 years the 14th of last August, and had bee married about 13 years, and was surrounded by every comfort to make her married life a happy one. Her disease was consumption, and for many days past she full realized the slow but certain approach of death, which she contemplated with calmness and without fear, having an unshaken and triumphant Christian faith. The patience with which she bore her prolonged and intense suffering deeply impressed all who were at her bedside. The deceased leaves a sorrowing husband and three children, a boy and two bright little girls, besides many relatives of whom her mother, two brothers, and two sisters, Mrs. W. G. Metcalf and Mrs. Croft, all residents of this city. To these the earnest sympathies of many will be extended.
The funeral services are to be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at Trinity Episcopal church.
