  Death of Mrs. William B. Clem.
  The sudden death of Mrs. Mary Frances Clem, wife of Mr. William B. Clem, at the hour of going to press on last Friday, permitted only very brief mention. Inaddition to such particulars, we would state that she was a daughter of the late Webster and Mary A. Breedlove, of this place, and was aged 42 years, 6 months, and 20 days. She was married to Mr. Clem on November 18, 1875. She was the mother of twelve children, ten of whom survive her - on infant born several hours previous to the death of the mother.
  The deceased was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran church at this place. In the absence of the pastor of the church, Rev. J. A. Snyder, Rev. W. H. Cone preached the funeral and conducted the burial service. A large congregation witnessed the sad rites among whom were Mr. and Mrs. Jef. Chapman, of Cherry Grove, Rockingham County, Va., the latter a sister of the deceased. The sympathy of a generous public goes out to the bereaved husband and the large family of motherless children.
