Note: HOMER W. SELL OAKLAND — Homer Wade Sell, 80, of Bayard, died yesterday at Garrett County Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient the past month.
A native of Horse Shoe Run, W. Va., he was a son of the late Albert and Mary (Weimer) Sell. A coal miner he worked 22 years with the Davis Coal and Coke Company, and retired from the Shallmar Mines. He was a member of District 4 UMW Local 4597.
Surviving are his widow, Katherine (Kirby) Sell; two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Shaffer, Horse Shoe Run, and Mrs. Arlene Harrison, Cumberland;
a son, William Sell, Warren Ohio; two brothers, Alvin Sell, Elkins, and Ellis Sell, Barracksville, W. Va.; 16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Minnich Funeral Home.
