  Byrnes Funeral Parlor - Selma
 DAMRON - In Selma, Calif., October 8, 1937. George A. Damron, a native of Utah, aged 77. Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sidney L. Glass of Fresno and Mrs. Clyde Browning of Los Angeles, and a son. George A. Damron Jr., of Fresno, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 11th, at ten A.M., in the Byrne Funeral Parlor. Burial in the West Selma Cemetery.

  George Damron, Sr. Pioneer Resident Of Selma Dies
 George A. Damron, Sr., a pioneer resident of Selma who had lived here since 1887, died in the Selma Sanitarium Friday afternoon. He had been ill for several weeks and his condition became serious last week. Mr. Damron, who was seventy-seven, was a native of Provo, Utah and came to California sixty-five years ago. During his early days here he established one of the first livery Stables. When automobiles became popular his stable was changed into a garage, which he, himself, managed until he retired a few years ago. Surviving him are two daughters, Mrs. Sidney L. Glass of Fresno and Mrs. Clyde Browning of Los Angeles; a son, George, Jr., of Fresno; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted in the Byrne Funeral Parlors at 10 a. m. Monday and burial was in the West Selma Cemetery with the Masonic Lodge conducting a service at the grave. Pallbearers, Jim Mitchell, E. P. Todd, George Eschwig, and Elliot Shifflet.
