  Joseph W. Garlock
  The remains of Joseph W. Garlock of Battle Creek, Michigan, arrived here today and were taken to the Oak Hill Cemetery for interment in the family lot. Garlock was a former resident of this city and a veteran of the Civil War. He is survived by his wife, one son, four daughters, four grand children, and other relatives.

  Dies at Daughter’s Home - Joseph W. Garlock, 70 years old, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earl Emmons, 467 West Van Buren Street, at 1:30 o’clock this morning. The wife and all children were present at the deathbed. Besides the widow, four daughters, Mrs. Charles Straw and Mrs. Emmons, at whose home he died, both of Battle Creek, Mrs. J. D. Jones, of Milton Junction, Wis., and Mrs. Ed Stone, of Lima Wis., one son, George W. Garlock, of St. Paul, Minn., and aged mother, two sisters and three brothers are left to mourn this loss. Funeral services will be conducted from the Hebble chapel Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Elder G. E. Langdon officiating. The body will be taken to Janesville, Wis., where interment will be made.

  GARLOCK - J. W. Garlock was born in Albany, N.Y., in May 1845. His death occurred in Battle Creek, Mich., Dec 11, 1915. During his young manhood the family moved to Iowa, where his aged mother still lives. He served his country during the Civil War, at its close settling in Janesville, Wis. There, in 1868, he was united in marriage with Miss Sarah J. Tuckwood. Six Children were born to them, five of whom survive. The deceased became a Christian early in life, and was a stanch advocate of temperance. G. E. Langdon
