 Friend of Late Enoch Pratt and Builder of Post Office
 Mr. Jackson Holland, one of the best-known builders and civil engineers of the older generation, died last night at the Maryland General Hospital of stomach trouble. He was taken sick last March and was moved to the hospital in August. Mr. Holland was 76 years old.
 About 15 years ago he built the Post Office and other notable buildings in Baltimore. He was a life-long friend of Enoch Pratt and when Mr. Pratt was president of the Baltimore City Railway Company, Mr. Holland was one of his directors. Lately, in a public letter, he showed the advantages of the city adopting "safety islands" on Light Street.
 Mr. Holland was born in Somerset county and came to Baltimore in his youth. For nearly half a century he conducted successfully the erection of large buildings. About five years ago he retired. Mr. Holland was twice married. His first wife, who was Miss Skinner, died about six years ago. Two years ago he married Miss Freda J. Muller. They were married by the late Bishop Coleman, of Wilmington, Del. By the first marriage there were two children, a son and a daughter, both of whom are dead.
 He lived with his wife at 1305 Linden Avenue.
