a. Note:   11/21/1794 William married Catherine Palmer, spinster of the parish of St. Johns at St. John's Horselydown. Witnesses were James Jackes and Mary Hughes. Catherine was born at Southwark and is reputed to have in New York about 1815
 William and Catherine went to New York in 1812 with their young family and William went to York in Upper Canada in 1816 or 1817. There erecting a log combination carpenter shop and grocery store. Reports of the inspector General show that on 11/25/1822, William was paid for making record boxes for the Crown Office and on 6/30/1823 was paid for carpentry work for His Majesty's Court of the Kings Bench.
 William died of "a gland" on an August Saturday in 1840 and was buried in the graveyard attached to what was to become 'The Cathedral Church of St. James 8/31/1840 by the Rev. H. J. Grasett. It would appear that his remains were reburied in the new St. James Cemetary on 12/30/1857.
