Notes
a. Note:   /cert writing is poor) Richards age is listed as "Junior" meaning he was under 21 years of age (he would have in fact been 18 & 9 months) and Martha's age was "Full age" (over 21 years). Martha was 25 years and 7 months at the wedding. This may give a hint as to why she may have cut a few years off her age at the 1851 census. The witnesses to the wedding were a Thomas and a Jane anna Middleton.Richard was recorded as a Tailor son of Phillip also a Tailor and Martha as a dessmaker daughter of John Price a farmer.
1851 - Richard was in the 1851 census in Bedmondsey in London in the home of a Charles (Chas)Hunt, a grocer. The address was 4a Abbey Street, Bermondsey ( in the parish of St Mary Magdalene) Charles Hunt lived with his wife Ann Hunt, also in the house were 3 three sons, 1 daughter 1 female servant and 4 assistants. The assistants are listed as follows Willm Bans John Thomas Pickrell George Lewellyn , Thomas Lewellyn. There may be family connection with the Hunts. Richard and Martha Llewellyn's son Philip Llewellyn marries Mary Ann Hodges. Mary Ann Hodges is the daughter of Joseph Hodges and Sarah Hunt. Sarah Hunt (Mary Ann's mother) maybe the sister of Charles Hunt. This would make Charles Hunt the uncle of Mary Ann Hodges.
Whether the Llewellyn Hunt marriage relationship grew out of the business relationship or whether there already was a family connection when George and Thomas went to work there I don't know
As a tailor, it would have been a common occurrance for Richard to travel to ply his trade as well as purchase cloth and materials. Richard was later recorded as a registrar of births and deaths and may have even been involved in the current Census. His wife Martha, recorded as a tailors wife and recorded at number 7 in the Village. Malcolm Masons research showed this to be the current number 11 Church road. Martha was with her children at that time, Phillip, Richard and Isabel had plenty of family for support with Richard's mother, father, sister Eliza and younger brother Arthur living close by at the general store. Business must have doing well as a James Morris, 27 years old was listed as servant with an occupation of tailor journeyman. Also visiting the household was Mary James a 55 year old widowed charwoman from Brecon Llanagan.
Richard' moved back to Dilwyn with Arthur 1853 and Gilbert were christened in Dilwyn .Richard was again recorded as a Tailor.
1856 - R. Llewellyn is recorded in Post Office Directory of Herefordshire, 1856 on page 137 under Tailors and interestingly is noted as at both Dilwyn and Leominster, so he may have had a shop at both places. The birth certificate of son George Thomas in October 1856, lists his father Richard as a "relieving officer" and the registrar of the birth as a Richard Llewellyn.
1858 Caseys directory lists a Richard Llewellyn as relieving officer and registrar for births and deaths.
1861 - The family were residing at 78 Middle Marsh , Leominster. Richard was a 35 yo "relieving officer" and Martha was 42. Their youngest son Philip was by now out of the house and employed at Presteigne as a Grocer. Their 13 to son Richard was an apprentice Draper and all the other 6 children were all at school.
The births of their last two children Alfred 1864 and Martha 1866 were both registered at Leominster.
1874 - His wife Martha's death was recorded in the Aston district.
1881 - The following is from the 1881 Census and it shows Richard in a second marriage to a Selina (Born Derby) along with his last two children born to first wife Martha.
The y were resding at 39 High Street Census Place: Buxton, Derby, England .

It would appear the Richard married fo a third time as in the 1891 census he is reccored at Derbyshire with wife Sarah who was born at Kendal, Westmorland in 1831.
