Notes
a. Note:   A son JAMES - There is a James Llewelyn born to a single Eleanor Llewelyn at Dilwyn in 1814 and as her younger brother Philip later lived at Dilwyn ( by 1823 ) it is possible he could be Eleanor's illegitimate son. Philip would have only been 18 years of age in 1814 and likely to be still "bound over" at Madley so it is hard to reconcile him having a Dilwyn home or the resources at such a young age to assist an unmarried Eleanor "hide" a pregnancy from a disapproving Abbey Dore Parish, however there was a family of Llewellyns at Dilwyn that could prove to be family. However Eleanor would later have children at Madley making this connection very interesting.
See more notes below at end re James Llewellyn.
Eleanor's banns of marriage were published for the 23rd, 30th of April and 7th May 1820,the marriage took place 15 days later on the 22nd may 1820.Eleanor made a cross on the marriage register and husband James signed his name. The witnesses were James Jones and William Harris.
Eleanor and James may have moved to Kentchurch and had a daughter Caroline in 1823 ( infancy death ?) but this is still to be confirmed. It is strongly considered as there is an Ellen & James Harris buried at Kentchurch ( see more below). They had a daughter Caroline in 1825 at Abbey Dore ( named in earlier sisters honour ?) and then moved to Madley ( where brother Philip had done his apprenticeship ) and had another daughter Eleanor in 1827. They were residing at Jitnel ( later spelling possibly Jetnel ?) and James was a labourer.
There are only two records for a Philip Harris in Herefordshire born circa 1830.
Philip Harris baptised 19 April 1828 at Credhill to Thomas & Elizabeth ( IGI C138731 )
Philip Harris baptised 21Feb 1830 at Madley to James & Mary "shopkeepers" of Withies.
After extensive research ( detailed report available) it was determined that the Curate had incorrectly recorded the parents as James & Mary instead of James & Eleanor.
The other Philip Harris born 1828 at Credhill looks likely to be the Philip Harris a lodger at All Saints Hereford in the 1851 census. His trade was " boots" and he was lodging with Thomas Pugh ( b.1797) & his wife Hannha (b. 1798). He would have been 19 days or so shy of his 24th birthday and his age was recorded as 24.
1841 - Eleanor was with her husband James at Wormbridge (next village East of Abbey Dore) in the 1841 census they were recorded living in first house on the Wormbridge Common. They were now shopkeepers. In the house was her daughter 13 yo Eleanor Harris and 11 yo Philip Harris. Eleanor & James was the seventh house recorded just after the New (Hew) House.
James stated he was born in the county of Hereford however in the 1851 census his birthplace has been transcribed by Ancestry.com as London ( see further theories below )
1851 - In the 1851 census Eleanor was recorded as 58 yo Ellen Harris (born Abbey Dore) with 63 yo husband James Harris ( born London ?) and was still in the village of Wormbridge. which is the next village East of Abbey Dore. They were still shopkeepers and residing at number 8 cottage and had an 18 year old lodger, john Haughton who was an unmarried school master born Dublin Ireland.
There was a Lucy Llewellyn at number 4 dwelling house (maybe next door) at Wormbridge in the 1851 Census. She was a 25 year old, unmarried house servant born at Kilpeck. She was one of three servants to a clergyman Edward Davies and his wife, two daughters, two sons and a nephew. This could be more than a coincidence and perhaps it was her " Cousin Eleanor" who got her the job? *** A Kilpeck connection theory has been written by the author in January 2009.
1861 - Ellen Harris was widowed by the 1861 census. She was at Bewdley in Worcestershire living with her daughter Ellen who had married Daniel Mynard / Minnard in Hereford district June quarter 1847 (vol 26 page 301). She was a retired grocer and son in law Daniel was the "Head Constable" at Bewdley. No doubt she would have greatly enjoyed looking after her 6 yo grandson Philip at the time.
1871 - By 1871 Eleanor had again moved with her daughter & son in law to Montgomery, Powys, Wales where Daniel was the Governor of the County prison . His wife Ellen was the Matron of the county prison.
1874 - 4th July - Ellen passed away at the Montgomery Gaol with the cause of death recorded as old age. Her son in law Daniel Mynard was "in attendance " at her death. Ellen was recorded as a retired grocer, strangely her age was stated as 84 giving a birth year of 1790 instead of her expected Christening year of 1793. Her older brother Richard was christened May 1791 so it hard to reconcile her birth year was in fact 1790 and not 1793.
Kentchurch Burials - There is a James Harris & Mrs. Ellen Harris buried Kentchurch recorded on the Hereford family history monumental inscriptions, reference KTC/ A51 ( no death year or age given).
Also under the same M.I. reference, which most likely corresponds with the same gravesite, is an 1824 burial of Caroline Harris 14 - was this 14 years or 14 months - born 1810 or 1823 ?
And again under the same reference an 1832 burial of Arelia Caroline Harris 7 which would match the 1825 Abbey Dore born Caroline. Perhaps she was known as "Arelia caroline" to differentiate the two or the M.i's mistranscribed and it actually read Caroline Arelia ?
There is also an Esther and james Harris (died 1832 aged 86) in grave ref. KTC/A54, possible parents to husband James?
While Eleanor died at Montgomery , Wales, it is very feasible her wishes were to be buried alongside her daughter (s) and husband making the above Kentchurch burials quite plausible
  Where was James Harris Born?
In March 2009 after an invitation for his opinion of James recorded birthplace on the 1851 census Tom Fairhusrt wrote " The absence of "Herefordshire" or "ditto" or whatever does suggest that the place of birth may have been outside Herefordshire. However, the place given is definitely not London. The second bit includes "lo" or "to" rather than "do". Sadly, this is a part of the country that I just do not know at all. However, I think the most likely correct interpretation of the writing is "Longton", with the bottom bit of the "g" coinciding with the top part of the "f" of Herefordshire in the line below. This could be based on a local pronunciation of "Longtown" - I just don't know the correct pronunciation, but I have come across that pronunciation of places spelt that way elsewhere. Longtown is an old parish in Herefordshire very close to the Welsh border, just a couple of miles south-west of Abbey Dore, though not quite contiguous. Whilst Abbey Dore came under the Episcopacy of Hereford, Longtown came under the "Episcopal Consistory of St. Davids", i.e. ecclesiastically it was run from Wales. It may be, that the census man just was not sure where Longtown came under, and so just said nowt and left it to someone senior to him and better paid than he, to sort out, if he could be bothered to do so. Some things never change, including human nature."
Notes on James Llewellyn possible first son of Eleanor
There is a 30 yo James Llewelling at Madley ( born Herefordshire) in the 1841 census recorded as a Mason. He is a possibility as the illegitimate James born to Eleanor Llewellyn at Dilwyn 1814 if he took the Llewelyn surname rather than Harris.
Very interestingly Eleanor had children at Madley in 1827 and 1830 and her brother philip did his appreticeship to Humphrey Meredith of Madley.
This James Llewelling at Madley in 1841 (not to be confused with the James Llewellyn cattle dealer of Ross b.1812 Upton Bishop died 1898) ) cannot be located in any subsequent census under Llewelyn or Harris.
It woud appear that he passed awy between the 1841 and 1851 census.
Note 1841 Census Another Llewelling household (saddlers) were also at Madley 1841 being Thomas & Elizabeth (both 35) celina 1 , celia 3 , caroline 1 & a 25 yo William.
This family is at Wellington in 1851and we learn that Thomas was born at Hay Breconshire in 1803 same place as Nathaniel Llewellin bootmaker of Kington..
And another Lewellin family of saddlers at Much Dewchurch - Father John 60 mother Ann 60 son James 25 & Henry 15
There are three James Llewellyn's with an 1814 circa birth listed on BMD Hereford district deaths :
 A) vol 6a page 329 June qtr 1869 aged 55 - Died 10th July 1869 at Ewyas Harold he was a labourer who died of "disease of the heart" unfortunately there was no mention of his parents on the certificate. He is possibly the above Mason at Madley in the 1841 census.
 B) vol 26 page 121 Decdf qtr 1845 - was 10 Month old James Llewllin born to Sarah Llewellin at Kilpeck
 B) On vol 6a page 431 March qtr 1895 aged 81. He is likely to be the Pauper saddler born Hay residing at the Abbey Dore workhouse in the 1891 census.vol
