Note: The James T. Moore family are found in the 1870 and 1880 Censuses for Louisana, Rapides Parish, Town of Alexandria. James and Jane are found again in 1910 Census for Bexar Co., Texas, Town of San Antonio, living in the household of their daughter, Mrs. Lucy J. Hoover, at 202 4th Street (on the N.E. corner of 4th and Taylor St. intersection. Also listed in household is son of Lucy, Moorer (sp??) Hoover, age 25, b. Texas, father b. Mississippi, mother b. Texas. There are also a number of "boarders" listed in household. In Census, Lucy reports that she is the mother of 1 child and curently has 1 child living (Moorer). Jane reports she is the mother of 2 children and only 1 is currently living, ie., Lucy. However, Jane's obit. in 1913 indicates son James, Jr. is still living. Death Certificate for James Moore indicates that he died July 21, 1919 in San Francisco, Calif. and was buried July 23, 1919 in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Residence at time of death was listed as 1887 Sutter St., 1st Ward, in San Francisco. Death Certificate also indicates that he had lived at that address (and in the State of California) only 4 months at the time of his death. Former place of residence is listed as "San Antonio, Texas". Occupation listed as "Retired Farmer": Death Certificate lists date of birth as Jan. 16, 1835 instead of Jan 6, 1835 as in Mary Moor Nichols family records. Obit. - found with Funeral Home Records @ familysearch.org: "MOORE - in this city, July 21, 1919, James Moore, husband of the late Jane Moore and father of Mrs. L. J. Hoover, a native of Dyersburg, Tenn., aged 84 years, 6 months, and 5 days. a member of Beeville Lodge No. 752, I.O.O.F., Beeville, Tex. Friends are invited to attend the funeral services Tuesday evening, July 22 at 7:30 o'clock at Gray's, Divisadero St. at Geary, under the auspice of the General Relief Committee, I.O.O.F. Interment private."
