a. Note:   William Moore was originally buried somewhere near the community of Concrete in DeWitt Co. In 1876, his mother-in-law, Rachel S. Crawford, donated 4 and 1/2 acres of land for a school, cemetery and church for the community of Hochheim, some 6 miles or so away from Concrete. She had the bodies of her husband, James A. Crawford, and her son-in-law, William Moore, moved to the "new" cemetery in Hochheim. These two individuals were the first burials in the Hochheim Cemetery.
