 census and Waldrep in the 1900 census.
  In the 1870 census of Lumpkin Co GA, age 16, b. GA, livin in home o fArchibald and Nancy Wimpy. Name shown as Lewis Waldrup.
  In the 1880 census of Paulding Co GA; Vol 18, E.D. 158, Sheet 3, Lin e39.
  1900 census of Hamilton Co TX shows him and family except for oldes tson. Vol 52, ED 84, Sheet 2, Line 31.
  He lived near Dallas, Paulding County, Georgia before moving to Texas
 about 1882 to 1885 and settled near Carlton, Texas. When the federa lgovernment announced the opening of Indian Territory of Oklahoma t osettlers, he and his family went to the vicinity of eastern Oklahom a,but before the date to rush into the territory, a rattlesnake trie dto make a meal of him and he was unable to go. They went back to T Xwhere he lived out his life near Carlton in Hamilton County. Descendants are scattered; some live near Dallas, TX, some still live in Hamilton County TX, some live in central Texas, some live near Wichit aFalls, Texas, many live in the Texas panhandle, some live in AZ, CA ,OR, FL, MN, IL, MO, etc.
  He worked on the Barbee Ranch until he could buy his farm near Carlton.
  He and his wife are buried in the Honey Creek Cemetery located near Carlton,
 Hamilton County, Texas. To get there from Hico, Texas, go south on US highway 281 until you reach FM Highway 1744. Turn right on FM 174 4and go toward Carlton. When you get to County Road 122, turn lef t onCR122. Go about 4.8 miles and when you get to CR120, turn on CR 120and the entrance to the Honey Creek cemetery is on your left afte rgoing about 0.3 miles. Open gate to enter the lane, close the gat eafter entering, then go down the lane until you reach the cemeter ywhere there is another gate. Their gravesite is not far from the gate at the cemetery, about 25 yards, perhaps.
