He should be able to answer any questions about the correct spelling of
 Marian's name......it might be Miriam...
She did not continue to use the name Kessleman after her divorce., Just
as I dropped the name Franklin after only 3 yrs of my second marriage......
Her sister, Beatrice (Bashie ) Kane  and husband Merle, live at
 3243 Colby St
West Los Angeles CA 90066    Phone # is 310-391-5480
 Larry's Phone # is   1-248-425-5624
Herb Ovshinsky could tell you when his mother Bertha moved to Los Angeles
Marian was residing in a nursing facility called Menorah Park in
 Cleveland when she passed away.

As far as my Zadie, Raymond Munitz was concerned, he died in Akron before
1918...My parents were married in 1918 and I recall that he was deceased
before that event, and one yr later, my brother Raymond was born and named
 for him.
My bubbe Rebecca died when I was 14 yrs old in 1945  ..I believe that
would have made her about 81...and that was in Akron, also. I do not know
anything about Raymond's first wife, Bashie Hecker. In fact I never knew her
name until you told me. Isn't it a coincidence that her name was Hecker, and
later your great grandmother was married to a Hecker. ?

Notes
a. Note:   N70 Rebecca is described as “the town beauty“ in Dokshitz by Stan Ovshinsky‘s biographer Lillian Hoddeson. “When the Russians evicted all Jewish farmers, [Bertha] and her parents and two younger sisters left on one of the last boats to sail before the outbreak of World War I.“
Arrived at Ellis Island, New York with her daughters Mary, Sadie and Bertha. Called “Beckie” on Anna and Sam’s and Anna and Abe’s marriage certificates.
Rebecca lived with her son Morris and daughters Bertha, Mary and Sadie at 999 Leroy Ave. in Akron in 1917.
From Herb Ovshinsky: Rebecca's dates don't "... look correct - My Grandmother was about 80-85 when she died and I was 12-14 - which means she died in 1940-1942 period and therefore was born around 1860. My sister or cousin Bea Kane might give you more accurate dates." However, Rebecca’s death certificate confirms her birth date of 18 Apr 1864 and her death date of 7 Oct 1944 at age 80 years, 5 months, 19 days. Rebecca died in a hospital at 519 Edgewood Ave. in Akron after living in the community for 30 years. Her usual residence was at 826 Leonard St. Headstone shows birth year as 1862, but 1864 is on her death certificate.
Lived with son Morris in Akron according to 1920 Census. Maiden surname spelled "Deutch" on her son Morris' and daughters Mary and Bertha's marriage license applications and "Deutsch" on daughter Sadie's. Identified as "Bobo" by Richard Munitz in his copy of the family picture taken around 1918 according to Herb Ovshinsky. Maiden named spelled "Deitz" on daughter Mary's marriage record with William Feinsilver.
From Marlene Burns: "This stone reads "Chaia Rivka bat ( daughter of) David" BINGO! Again, I wouldn't worry too much abo[u]t the birthdates...I am gue[s]si[n]g most of them guessed....even my mom's generation that came from Europe often didn't have papers ...the death date, however should be spot on."
Transcription of Hebrew on headstone: Our mother dear and humble Mrs. Chaya Rivka daughter of David of blessed memory passed away on the 20th of Tishri 5705 [7 October 1944]. May her soul be bound up in the bond of eternal life.
2/6/2017: Original maiden name in Irv’s Tree was “Deitch”. Changed to “Deutch” based on that spelling on several of her children’s marriage records. Spelled “Deutsch” on daughter Anna’s and Sadie’s marriage records.
b. Note:   Date of April 18 shown on Rebecca's death certificate. Other sources give only the year.
