a. Note:   Page 314.--In the name of God, Amen. I, JONATHAN SEAMAN, of New Hempstead, in Orange County, being somewhat indisposed. I leave to my loving grand son, Jonathan Seaman, eldest son of my son Jonathan, deceased, of Frederick County, Virginia, 5 shillings. "I leave to my son, Jonas Seaman, œ200, to be levyed out of my real estate if New Hempstead People shall recover the land that is now in dispute between us and the Lawyers in New York." And if my real estate should amount to more than it is at present, then my son Jonas shall be made equal to his brothers John and Nehemiah. I leave to my daughters, Elizabeth Palmer, Hanah Coe, and Martha Vandervoort, [m Michael Vandervoort, s/o Paul Vandervoort & Neeltje Staats, b abt 1719 - 1725], œ74 3s. 7d., to make them equal to what my daughter, Phebe Coe, has received from me. But if my estate amounts in value to œ400, then I give to my four daughters œ100 each, and if there is any thing over, it is to be divided among my sons, John, Jeconiah, and Jonas. I make my sons John and Jeconiah, and my son in law, John Palmer, executor
