 Page 231.--DIRCK HOOGLAND. In the name of God, Amen. I, Derrick Hoogland, of Staten Island, being in good health. I leave to my wife Elizabeth, all my estate, both real and personal, for life, and then to be divided among my children, namely, Johanes, George, Arient, Alletie, Mary and Sarah. Only my son Johanes shall have £7, and my daughter Sarah shall have £3, over and above their proportion. And my will is that whichsoever of my three sons, Johanes, George, and Arient, shall give the most for my lands and tenements, they shall have the same, for the more benefit of the rest.
