a. Note:   1810's: 'Johnson family tradition is that seven siblings, 5 brothers and 2 sisters, came to western Kentucky from North Carolina. They possibly came with the Nichols-Early-Price families of about 50-60 people, probably about 1812.' [Some Webster County, Kentucky Families, by Bassett, 1983]
  1810's: Benjamin Johnson, brother of Leonore Kea sells to ??? (one ninth part-his share) of all the lands of James Johnson, Deceased, in Green and Lenoir Co., NC; on Faling (Falling) Creek.
  1820:
  1824: Benjamin listed with 190 acres of land on the Tradewater River; [1824 Union County, Kentucky Taxlist]
  1828: Andrew Phillips, in his Will, left the deed to his land in Hopkins County, Kentucky to James and his brother Benjamin Johnson; referred to as 'sons-in-law' by Andrew Phillips.
  1850: Benjamin's wife, Ansey, was listed as a Widow in the 1850 Union County, Kentucky census, page 461, Dist #2. [US Genweb Archives, electronic]
  1989: Benjamin's 2nd great-grandson, 'Jimmy' was the Dallas Cowboys coach 1989-1994, won Super Bowl in 1992 and 1993.
