a. Note:   pparently Abby and John Sutherland had no children. The Knapp Mortuary records indicated she lived at the P. Sutherland's residence at Sparks Station, Vancouver, WA and died at home of pulmonary TB. Her funeral was charged to John S. Sutherland Her tombstone has the spelling of her name as Abigail and the mortuary records as Abigale. I learned of Abigail Sutherland from seeing her grave marker in the Vancouver City Cemetery on East 13th Street. Betty Skinner said Abigail was related to the other Vancouver and Portland Sutherlands, but she was initially unsure of the exact relationship. Betty said the family referred to her as Aunt Abby.
