Notes
a. Note:   le census 3.3.1. 1865 is the last census where this family appears except son Gordon H. who was listed as a head of household in 1870 (then nothing more). In 1822 Robert Pike lived in Otisco. William wanted him to come to Colesville which he did within the next year or two and in 1865 still had a farm close to William's. Robert, Sr's land was valued at $1700 in 1850. Where he went after 1865 is uncertain. Did he live in or near Galena, Illinois?
Robert probably was a farmer most of his life. There is an indication from William's diary that he was a teacher. However, it was unclear whether this meant he was a school teacher or a Sunday school teacher.
Note:   The Robert Pike and Phebe Trevett family was found in the 1825 Colesvil

c. Note:   kinton, Shepherd spells Phebe's last name as Trevett. Vermont VR on microfilm had Tressett. Torrey had early Trevetts listed.
Note:   Robert Pike and Phoebe were married by Justice of the Peace, Jesse Blac
