a. Note:   , 1827 but according to his father's diary he was born April 16, 1824. By 1865 census he had had 6 children and his occupation was listed as carpenter. In 1850 he was listed as a millwright. He apparently went to Wisconsin about 1850 and returned to NYS, and apparently lived most of his live in the Broom Co., NY area. His wife was Eunice Driggs (1839-1894), daughter of Mr. Driggs and Laura Mattoon.
Note:   William Crawford Pike's tombstone has his birth date listed as April 16
