a. Continued:   Winifred Jennie Pike, daughter of Charles Pike and Armenia Daily, married James Harley Banfill 6 Jun 1911 in Nooksack, Washington and had three children. Winifred or Winnie, as she was often called, had a stillborn twin brother. She grew up in Iowa and Minnesota and went to Washington State when a young adult. She attended the Bellingham Normal School and taught school prior to being married. Although Winifred and James Banfill were born in neighboring counties in Iowa and had lived close to one another in Minnesota, they did not meet until after both had moved to Washington State where both were teachers in Nooksack.
b. Continued:   Winifred Pike apparently had no birth certificate and no church records were located. Census records did link her to her parents and give the approximate birth year. Her death certificate gave additional details.
