Notes
a. Note:   g property in Colesville, NY. I believe that Elisha is a brother of similar age to William. His name is probably Joseph Elisha and he is likely Joseph's oldest son. E. I. Shepherd in Williamstown listed Elisha as a son of Joseph (named no son Joseph). Vermont Vital Records listed Elisha Pike from Williamstown marrying Patience Rathbone in 1809 in the Town of Pownal which is in Vermont but near Williamstown. This is the same town where brother Robert married Phoebe Trevett. Both were married by Jesse Blackinton, Justice of the Peace. In the Pittsfield, MA library is a copy of the Copy Clerk's Orderly Book -- War of 1812, from Williamstown, Massachusetts; Elisha Pike is one of the men listed.
From Mr. Osborne's summary of the NYS 1825 census there is a Pike on p. 9, #22 listed as Levi. In 1835 there is no Elisha, Levi or Jack (as he thinks Elisha might have been called since these names appear to be used interchangeably), but Joseph Pike Jr. is listed. From the ages of the various Joseph's in the database, one Joseph was probably a grandson born in 1811 (the son of Elisha?). Is Joseph Pike, Jr of 1835 census the son or grandson of Joseph Pike 1760-1842)? Since there were 5 people in the household, Joseph Jr. is likely the son of Joseph Pike born 1759/60.
Note:   In an 1813 tax list Elisha and William Pike are listed as jointly ownin
b. Note:   n the 1830 census and the female 20-30 living with his father were his sons and wife and that Elisha had died by the time of the census. I am also guessing he might be buried in the Joseph Pike lot in the Pratt Cemetery in Harpursville, NY.
Note:   I am guessing that the males (10-15 and 15-20) living with his father i
c. Note:   ut if the Joseph Jr. of the 1835 census is this Joseph, he would have to have died later.
Note:   I had originally concluded Elisha may have died between 1826 and 1835, b
