a. Note:   ere residing with Charlotte's father Charles Barnett. This appears to be the same Charlotte of Greene that William refers to with children Kate/Catherine and Elizabeth.
  In William Pike's 1865 diary he talks about Charlotte from Greene, NY and his grandchildren Kate and Elizabeth, her children, who had come to stay with he and Persis. It would appear that the children's father had died since he is not mentioned. In William Pike's letters of administration we learn that Mary Elizabeth was the daughter of William's son Henry Pike who evidently died in Wisconsin about 1853-54.
  Mr. Tom Crossett supplied the name of Dr. Morgan as Charlotte's second husband.
Note:   According to the NYS 1855 census Charlotte Pike and daughter Mary E. w
b. Note:   o Chenango Co. to live. She is listed as a 23 year old widow in the 1855 census.
Note:   Charlotte's first husband Henry Pike died in Wisconsin and she returned t
