Continued: According to her daughter Mabel, Iva was a dressmaker, cook, restaurant keeper, orchardist; a very active and industrious woman who knew many kinds of work. She was honest and economical. After the death of William Dana Perrine she married John McGuire at Kankakee, Illinois 6 June 1898 with whom she lived on a Timber Claim in Idaho and whom she divorced 3 March 1906 at Vancouver, Washington. Iva Mary then married John W. Johnson 27 March 1907 at Vancouver, WA. John W. Johnson owned 9 acres of orchard on Harney Hill. Together they bought 11 more acres and farmed and improved the whole estate. They built a good house, barn, and garage. J. W. Johnson died Easter Sunday 1918. Iva Mary held the buildings and 5 1/6 acres of land as her share of estate. She sold her share of the estate to her daughter Mabel and son-in-law George Sutherland 28 July 1923. Iva Mary died at the aforementioned home 4 July 1926 and was buried in Park Hill Cemetery, Vancouver, Washington. Her grave is marked by a flat stone. Iva Mary willed her estate divided into 4 equal parts to go to her daughter Mabel and sons Evert D. and A. Dana, and her grandson George P. Sutherland. Each share amounted to $1153.95. The Early marriages of Branch Co. Michigan Book II indicated that Iva was born in New York per reference to her marriage record.

Continued: IGI notation reads "Perrin, William S. and Iva M. Slotenbur, 06 Aug 1882, Branch." Their marriage certificate lists his name as William D. Perrin age 22 born in New York and Iva M. Stotenbur age 18 born in New York. They were married by J. White, minister. Witnesses were her sister Ona Stotenbur and his brother C. R. Perrin both of Kinderhook. These two later married. An index from Branch Co., MI (Coldwater MI Newspapers) lists William Perrine m. Miss Statenburg m. Aug 11, 1882. The three children of William and Iva -- Mabel, Evert Dorain and Almond Dana -- were born at the farm of Dana Perrine in Kinderhook County, Michigan. The family was Methodist. There is no longer a town Kinderhook, just a gas station where it once was located. There is a picture of children Mabel, Evert, and William Dana taken by D.T. McNickel, photographers of Fremont, Indiana approximately 1888. A picture of Iva with a male is mounted on the same type background as the picture of the children. Since Dana did not die until 1891 and she did not remarry until 1898, it is my assumption the male is William Dana Perrine.
