a. Note:   The Register-Guard, Eugene, Oregon, Saturday, July 27, 1985 Ely - Charles B. Ely died July 24, 1985, in Otis Oregon, at the age of 81. He was born October 28, 1903, in Rugby, North Dakota. He married Jean H. Hutchinson. He lived several years in Eugene. He worked as a Business manager for a schools supply company. He recently moved to Otis from San Francisco, California. His memberships included the Masonic Lodge in Rugby, North Dakota and the Reserve Officers Association. He was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran. Survivors include 1 son, Fed H. Ely of Otis; 1 daughter, Lane Fichtenau of Union Lake Michigan; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. Services will be held, Monday, July 29, 1985, 9:30 a.m. at Pacific View Memorial Chapel. Interment and concluding services will be held at 2 p.m. at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland. Friends may call from Sunday 1-8 p.m. Contribution may be made to the Oregon Heart Fund in care of chapel.
