a. Note:   30). John was left behind in Poland when Augustina and her second husband Vincent Bloski went to Canada.
  In 1880, John came to NY with an older cousin when he was 9 years. John was taken in by a farmer in Niagara Falls who changed his name to Omanique. He eventually went to Barry's Bay where he married Elizabeth Gutoski (1881-1931) on 2 May 1902 in Wilno. Their children were Eva (1903-1903), Joseph John (1904-1975)and Mary Elizabeth (1908-1997. He married Catherine Muriel Thompson (1906-1960) in Ottawa on 23 Sep 1933 and they had one son, John Thompson (1936-2004). John Omanique died in Barry's Bay on 21 Nov 1962 and was buried in St. Hedwig's Cemetery there.
