FX raised his second family (with Lemay) on land he acquired in St. Jean Deschaillons, which we've always referred to as "La Pointe" : la Pointe des Roberts. "La Pointe" was purchased 6/11/1872. FX lived previously in St. Francois, according to Therese Faucher's notes.

Clem Bedard's interpretation is that Francoix-Xavier ROBERT was raised by a Charlesbourg family named Nicolas Jacques & Angelique Paradis. FX was most probably known as FX Robert-Jacques. It was between Veronique's birth in 1871 and her marriage in 1891 that the name DesRoberts started to appear on some of the documents. In Clem's opinion, the name is a combination of "des" and "Robert", as expressed in the preceeding paragraph.

Note:
According to Clement Bedard, none of his 9 children were born or baptised under the name of DesRoberts, they were all named Jacques and he has copies of most of their certificates. See also extens
