  From Tom Sherk:
 There is a note in pencil that I wrote in René's book next to Verena
 Burkhard that says she was baptized 9 Sep. 1666, and that she was a
 daughter of Jacob Burkhard, b.1636 and Barbara Graber, b.1635. At the
 moment I do not know when I wrote this down, or my source, but I will
 check on that. In any case, I will look up Verena's baptism on the
 Sumiswald Church Records CD using this date, and see who her parents
 were. If the names of her parents agree with my penciled note, I will
 then go through the church records looking for the names and dates of
 baptism of all their other children, who of course will be siblings of
 Verena. Then we can try to find the maternal ancestral line to the
 present from one or more of the daughters.
