a. Note:   From THE DEMOCRAT FORUM of Maryville, Missouri for 9 Sept 1941 Mrs. Alex Holt, 81 years of age died at 8:55 o'clock at their home at 319
 West 12th Street following a brief illness.
 She was born 22 Feb 1860 at Burlington Junction. She was married 30 Aug
 1877 at Graham, Missouri to Alex Holt. She was the former Sarah E. Hagey. Mrs.
 Holt had resided at the present address 41 years. She is a member of the
 Christian Church and a graduate of a country school near Burlington Junction
 and of the "SELECT SCHOOL" at Oregon, Missouri. Mr. and Mrs. Holt celebrated
 their 64th wedding anniversary the 30th of August.
 She is survived by her husband of the home, 6 sons, H. S. Holt of Anita,
 North Dakota, C. G. Holt of Seattle, Washington, A. C. Holt of Springfield,
 Missouri, I. E. Holt of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and R. E. and R. C. Holt of
 Maryville and daughters Mrs. Fern Sweeny of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Mrs. O. B.
 Jahnke of Casselton, North Dakota, Mrs. J. R. Miller of Freeman, Missouri, Mrs.
 Mary Worley of Maryville, 37 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. One
 sister, Mrs. Dee Shortridge of St. Joseph, Missouri.

  From BEVERLY GARDNER'S MANUSCRIPT Sarah was born at Burlington Jct. on February 22, 1860. She was 81 years
 old when her death occurred, September 8, 1941. She was buried at Oak Hill
 Cemetery in Maryville.
 Sarah was married on August 30, 1877, to Rev. Elijah Alexander Holt at
 Graham, Nodaway County. They had celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary
 only nine days before Sarah's death. Rev. Holt was born at Normandy,
 Tennessee on March 29, 1850, and died at Maryville.
