Notes
a. Note:   The following was written from Mary Jane to her son Jeff, circa 1985.
  " Hi Jeff;
  Here goes my interesting autobiography.
  I was born on October 22, 1918. (don't forget October 22 is my birthday -- send cards and presents) in beautiful downtown Homewood (now not so beautiful). Many very rich and prominent people lived on South Homewood Ave. (I lived on North Homewood Ave.) I lived in a row house at 7213 Fleury Way until the age of 12. Since their weren't many girls around I played cards, run sheep run, kick the can and all other boys games, and, as a result became a tomboy. I know tomboys climb trees but we never got to see a tree so we tried to climb telegraph poles. (I never got past the first step)...
  At age 12-1/2 we moved to another house in Homewood. At the age of 14 we moved to Forest Hills. After many more moves and many schools I Finally graduated from Peabody High School (your not going to believe this) in 1937.
  Worked at G.C. Murphy's five and ten until I married your dad. The first year after marriage I worked at a typewriter store, stationery, book rental and gift shop (this was all one store) which I enjoyed very much. After a year my career ended and I retired. Now I'm just tired.
  After 15 years of marriage we had a big surprise which we called Jeffrey Louis Rinscheid (interesting so far)? You were and are our pride and joy!!! Of course we also had four dogs, garden pests, insects and taxes. We still have one dog, garden pests, insects and taxes also arthritis, Excedrin headaches, grey hair, weight problems and boy do we have taxes. Love Ya.......
  Peace This copy typed by Mary Jane Rinscheid who failed all business courses plus english composition."
