Note: According to Mary Jane Whetstone, his daughter, they never had enough money, but he always pushed to bring other people to live with them, in particular the Cuppetts. His children were often sent to live on his parents' farm for the summer. ---------------- Gilbert Cleon WHetstone, who died in Pittsburgh March 9, was brought to the home of his parents, A.H. and Alice [Aral] (Werts)[Wertz] Whetstone, Manns Choice, where services were held Saturday, conducted by Rev. W. A. Snyder. Interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery. He was born at Manns Choices Oct . 31, 1885 and was married to Glide Bulger on Dec 24, 1906. For the past 20 years they resided in PIttsburgh. Besides his parents and wife, he leaves these children: Mary Jane and Albert Whetstone and Mrs. Clyde Williams, Pittsburgh, and Mrs. John Hebner of Everett. Alsos, these sisters and brother: Mrs. John Shobert of Detroit, Mrs. Clyde Ruby (Rudy] of Windber, Mrs. Kie. E. Brown of Saxton, Mrs. Clarence Cuppett of Bedford, and Robert Whetstone of Manns Choice. --------- Gilbert Whetstone met with an accident at the tannery a few days ago.
