 which is called Hood Memorial. He left his estate of $30,000 to the Church' He
 had no children but raised his niece (Charity). This record came from Atlantic
 Christian College, Wilson, N.C.. The old J.R. Hood Bible is preserved there.
  NOTE See news article written by Moses Roundtree. Fannie was raised by her
 Uncle Nathan when she was orphaned.
 Copied from a letter to Sam Hood from Willis S. Hood 22 January 1964
 Charity B. Hood another of Grand Father Hood's daughters was born July 5th,
 1848, died july 29th, 1888. Married E.B.Cox(NO DATE). He died Oct. 14th,
 1876.,They had one daughter Fannie.
 Uncle Nathan another of Farmers Brothers was a Desciple or Christian Preacher,
 and they lived on the farm second from us going south, and he married Martha
 Harper,but they had no children,but he sold his farm to John Bizzell, When I was
 a small boy, and moved to Dunn,N.C.,and preached in a Christian Church there,
 and Aunt Charity and her daughter moved to Dunn with them,but her mother died
 later, NO DATE,and Fanny married George Cannady, and they had three or four
 children.,but I did not know George or any of their their children.
Note:   Nathan was a great preacher. Founded the 1st Christian Church in Dunn, N.
