  There is a William Nelson Berry who killed his wife but she was not Elizabeth. This same William Nelson Berry is listed in the "Luster Family Tree" in Ancestry.com with his family, the murder trial and a picture of an Old Gallows in Rogersville (TN?). Most family Trees list the spouse's name as Alzira Rogers and the children Sarah, Mary "Mollie" Jane 1855-1932, Matilda and Aranda Berry.
 This Mary Jane could not be our Mary Jane for at least 1 reason, she lived until 1932
