a. Note:   George E. Reynolds 1923-2007
 George E. Reynolds, 83, of Xenia, passed away early Saturday morning at the Greenewood Manor in Xenia. He was born May 6, 1923 in Spencer, West Virginia, the son of George Asbury and Myrtle Mary (Runion) Reynolds. He was a WWII Army veteran. George farmed the land that the old county home owned and later worked maintenance and housekeeping at the Greenewood Manor. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dovie Josephine (DeVore) Reynolds (they were married May 11,1945) in 2002; brothers, Ernest T. "Ted," Orville, and Bill Reynolds; sisters, Gertrude Reynolds and Pauline Williams.
 He is survived by his children, Brenda Reynolds and Shirley (Gene) Engle of Xenia, Mary Jo (Robert) Altman of Indianapolis, sons, Thomas E. (Martie) Reynolds of Dublin, Ohio, and Rick (Hermina) Reynolds of Xenia; grandchildren, James, Steven, and Michael Engle, Kelly (Mike) Anders, Chad (Amy) Reynolds, Gregory (Jill) Reynolds, Todd (Kathy) Reynolds, Troy Reynolds, Robert H. Altman, and Scott (Stephanie) Altman; great-grandchildren, Nick and Sarah Brumett, Ben Anders, Ashley and Emma Reynolds, and Hanna Reynolds; step-grandchildren, Justin, Brittany, and Tyler Anders; step-great grandchildren, Ashlynn and Erykah Early, and Kimberly Shelton; a brother Charles Walter (Delores) Reynolds of Springboro; sisters, Effie Mace and Ethel Kindell of West Virginia, and Edna Bender of Clinton; a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
 Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 12 at the Jamestown Presbyterian Church USA, 61 W. Washington St. Jamestown, with Rev. Michael Helling officiating.Ê Arrangements by the McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc. 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave.Dayton, Ohio 45420.
