a. Note:   Mary Louise Trout, 88, formerly of Ocala, Florida, and Elkhart, Indiana, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, in Houston, Texas.
  Mary was born February 25, 1925, near Union, Mich., to the late Clarence L. and Wilma P. (Boyer) Trout. A Mayflower descendant, she was of German (Pennsylvania Dutch) and colonial English heritage.
  She graduated from Bristol (Ind.) High School in 1943, and worked thereafter in Elkhart for C.G. Conn Instruments, Singer Sewing Center and Whitehall Laboratories. Mary was the owner and operator of the Elkhart Institute of Technology (EIT) women's residence hall, located at the former Hotel Indiana, in Elkhart, Ind., from 1960 to 1970. After relocating to Ocala, Fla. in 1971, she became a highly sought after and effective bookkeeper at Schott Industries, H.A. Busbee Industrial Supplies and Norris Grocery, Inc. for over twenty years. Mary was an exceptional homemaker. She enjoyed following Atlanta Braves baseball in addition to painting and traveling in her earlier years.
  Mary is survived by her sister Ruth E. Kreischer, Ocala, brother Clare E. Trout, Jones, Mich., daughters Mayre Jo Madlem, Ocklawaha, and Carol J. (Tom) Hall, Sanford, son William D. (Doris) Borneman, Cypress, Tex., grandsons Robbert Madlem, Atlanta, Ga., 2nd Lt. Markus Borneman, San Antonio, Tex., granddaughters Tamayre (Justin) Paulk, Ocala, Loretta (Jonathan) Cuaresma, Jacksonville, Glenda Madlem, Jacksonville, Monika Borneman, Cypress, Tex., and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Velma L. Stults.
  A memorial service will be conducted in Ocala, Florida, on February 25, 2014, with interment of remains to follow at Highland Memorial Park.
