Note: Hannah is buried in St James Cemetery, Kingsessing, PA, Deed 4 Lot B From Mark Dearnley - [email protected] We were not certain that the Hannah D who married Henry Whiteley was the same Hannah who was the daughter of Amon D & Ellen Crosland. As Hannah's father was not shown on Hannah D & Henry Whiteley's marriage certificate, it seemed more likely that Hannah was the daughter of Mary Dearnally. (Hannah's first daughter was also named Mary) Hannah D could be the daughter of Mary D (daughter of Amon D & Ellen Crosland), but raised by grandparents Amon & Ellen. My 1851 census entry of Hannah is possibly misallocated as the dau. of Wilson D. & Hannah Mellor (the family emigrated to Canada c.1842 &Hannah was with them in 1851) 1851 Dearnley, Amon Head Mar 65 Woollen Cloth Manufacturer Holme, Yorkshire Dearnley, Ellen Wife Mar 59 Manufacturer'swife Holme, Yorkshire Dearnley, William Son Unm 20 ... of Woollen Cloth Holme, Yorkshire Dearnley, John Son Unm 13 Manufacturer's son Holme, Yorkshire Dearnley, Hannah Grnddau Unm 15 Woollen Hand Loom Weaver Holme, Yorkshire (dau. of Wilson D. &Hannah) In fact, the more I work through this, the more likely it sounds - what do you think?
