 'The death of Mrs Betsy Bond took place in Colac on Friday, after a long and painful illness. Deceased was a native of Horsham district and resided there all her life, with the exception of a few years. She was 56 years of age, and leaves one son and three, daughters to mourn their loss. Sincere sympathy is felt for them in their bereavement. Her body was entrained at Colac, and forwarded to Horsham for interment in the family allotnent in the Nurrabial cemetery, which took place yesterday afternoon. A large number 'of friends and relatives gathered at the graveside; where the service was conducted by the Rev. W. Judkins. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr George James.'
  It is believed she died of meningitis.
  Accordingto the ‘Age’, of 22 Nov 1915, the Curator of the Estates of Deceased Persons obtained rules to administer the estate of Betsy. She died intestate with £101 12/2
