  OCNS - August 16, 2002 - Services for Delcia Merkley Adams, 92, who passed
 away August 14, 2002 will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 19, in the
 First Baptist Church, Hominy, Oklahoma, with Pastor James Ehrlich
 officiating. Burial will follow in the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery
 under the direction of Powell Funeral Home.
  Delcia was born September 11, 1909 in Marion County, Arkansas to John and
 Laura Bullins Garrison. In 1929, Delcia married Frank Denvie Adams in
 Cleveland, Oklahoma. She resided, for eight years in Norman, Oklahoma
 where she was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and active in Women's
 Missionary Union.
  Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Bowling of Channahon, Illinois; a
 son, Richard Adams of Longview, Texas; an adopted son, Steve Adams of
 Blanchard, Oklahoma; foster daughter, Charlotte Adams; brother, Orville
 "Bill" Garrison of Simi Valley, California; fifteen grandchildren; several
 great grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, and great-great-great
 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
  Delcia was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters Shirley Black
 and Joretta Adams; three brothers, George Garrison, Lee Garrison and Jim
 Garrison; one sister, Ursula and great grandson, Tanner King.
  Casket Bearers will be Steve Adams, Jesse Adams, Terry King, Charles
 Burris, John Adams and William Bowling. Music selections are "In the
 Garden" and This World Is Not My Home". Music will be sung by John
 Crawford, accompanied by Theresa Cowan.
