WILL of HENRY PHILIP HART Granville County, NC (WB 11333) Will dated 7 Apr 1782 and proved May Court 1782. In the name of God - Amen. I Henry Phillip Hart of the County of Granville in the State of North Carolina being in my proper senses & memory do hereby make this my last will and Testament Revoking and Setting aside all former wills here to fore made by me. Item. I freely and willingly Surrender up my soul to Almighty God and my body to a decent burial in a Christian like manner at the discretion of Executors hereafter named Item. My will and pleasure is after my just debts being first paid that everything & things of what kind so ever be & Remain in possession of my beloved wife during her natural life, after which, to be equally divided between the whole of children my horse and chest only excepted as hereafter directed to them and their heirs forever Item. I give and bequeath my horse unto my grandson Philip Hart, son of Pleasant Hart to him and his heirs forever after the death of my wife aforesaid. Item. I give to my grandson John Easley one chest known & called by the name of my chest. Item. I do hereby constitute and appoint my beloved sons Joseph Hart and John Hart my whole & sole executors of this my last will & testament in Witness whereof I here unto Set my hand and Seal this 7th day of April 1782.
