Note: Obit: Doris Elizabeth (Shekleton) Flint, 85 of Meadow Road, East Longmeadow, MA died Monday (March 24, 1997) at her home. Born in Worcester, MA May 26, 1911, the daughter of Harry I. and Clara (Adams) Shekleton she attended local schools and graduated from Worcester South High School in 1930. She later graduated from the Chandler Secretarial School in Boston, MA. She worked in banking in Worcester prior to her marriage on Feb 21, 1942 to Clarence E. Flint who predeceased her on April 1, 1993. Mr Flint worked for U.S. Envelope Division of Westvaco. She and her late husband resided in New Brunswick, NJ from 1954 to 1966, when she moved to East Longmeadow, MA. She leaves her son and daughter in law Peter A. and Paula Flint, of Bloomfield, Ct, and two grandaughters, Amy and Kari Flint. Funeral services will be private with burial in Hope Cemetery, MA. Doris was an avid Red Sox fan in addition to other sports. When she lived in Boston she use to walk from South Station to Fenway Park to see the Red Sox play Babe Ruth and the Yankees. In New Jersey she use to attend many of the the High School football practices and was fondly refered to as Coach.
