Schultz/Tiger was discovered in 1881 and went on to have about 1800 residents. Post office was established July 12, 1894 and discontinued November 26, 1954. The nearby town of Mammoth served as the milling site and an aerial tramway was constructed between the two towns. After World War 1 the town was bought and the name changed to Tiger. When the mines played out the town was shut down. The San Manual copper company razed the buildings here. Nothing remains.]
