Sarah was the fourth child and second daughter of Nicholas Meriwether II and Elizabeth Crawford. She married William Littlepage sometime in the 1720s in Virginia. They had one known daughter, Judith, who was the first wife of John Fauntleroy (~1724–~1766).
Sarah died before the Will of Nicholas Meriwether II was written, but daughter Judith is mentioned in the Will.
Some sources state that after the death of William, Sarah married Edmund Littlepage and they had a son named Thomas Edmund Littlepage. There is even a headstone for Edmund and Sarah, stating "SARAH MEREWETHER HIS WIFE OF HANOVER COUNTY".
