  Mrs. E. L. Minor passed away at 1 o'clock a. m. Saturday at her home on upper Main Street. She was the wife of the late Dr. John Minor, of Albemarle county, Va., and the eldest daughter of Mr. James M. Scott, of Spotsylvania county, Va.
  Mrs. Minor was one of a family of 15 children, of whom the following survive her: Mrs. Harper Anderson, Ivy Depot, Va.; Mrs. Jno R. Thurman and Miss Greenhow Scott, Lewiston, Va.; Messrs. B. R. A. Scott and R. Lewis Scott, of Texas.
  Mrs. Minor leaves one son, Dr. James L. Minor, of Memphis, Tenn., and three daughters, Mrs. L. L. Holladay, of Rapidan; Mrs. Kate L. Jenkins and Miss Elizabeth Minor, of Fredericksburg.
  Funeral services will be held from the Presbyterian Church Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Interment in the City Cemetery.
